Coman and Davies score for their national teams

As he had a few days earlier in the win against Albania, Kingsley Coman found the back of the net once again for France in Tuesday’s victory over Andorra. The FC Bayern forward put the world champions ahead in the 18th minute before Clement Lenglet and Wissam Ben Yedder wrapped up the 3-0 triumph. Coman was replaced after 85 minutes but Corentin Tolisso played the full 90 at the Stade de France in Paris. Lucas Hernández and Benjamin Pavard did not feature.

Davies goal gives Canada second win

Alphonso Davies scored the only goal of the game as Canada beat Cuba 1-0 to give them two wins from two in the CONCACAF Nations League. The Canucks now have six points and a +7 goal difference in Group A, which also features the USA. Davies fired home after just nine minutes in George Town (Cayman Islands) but Canada had to play with 10 men from the 55th minute after Doneil Henry was sent off. Davies impressed on the wing and was subbed off after 79 minutes.

Defeat for Coutinho

Philippe Coutinho suffered a 1-0 friendly loss to Peru with Brazil in Los Angeles. Luis Abram scored the only goal of the game shortly before the end. FC Bayern’s new signing once again started for the Selecao and put in a strong performance but could not prevent the defeat. Coutinho was replaced by Bruno Henrique in the 84th minute, just before the goal.
