31 December does not only mark the end of a year but also of a whole decade. The years from 2010 to 2019 have been outstandingly successful for FC Bayern. Needless to say, the 2013 treble was the crowning glory, but fcbayern.com has compiled the German record champions' impressive achievements over the last 120 months.
1. Point record
FC Bayern won 250 Bundesliga matches this decade, clinching 800 points. No other Bundesliga team has won as many matches or taken as many points in one decade.
2. Title hunters
FC Bayern clinched 65 percent of all domestic titles (championship and cup) this decade, the highest percentage in one decade and the highest percentage in Europe's top five leagues this decade. Bayern have won the championship title every year since the 2012/13 season. No other Bundesliga team has ever achieved a similar feat.
3. Among Europe's top teams
Real Madrid are the only team to have won more Champions League matches (78) than the German record champions (75) this decade. Only FC Barcelona (ten times) have been last eight hopefuls more often than FC Bayern (eight times, the same number as Real Madrid) from 2010 to 2019.
4. Stronghold Allianz Arena
Bayern won a staggering 81 percent of their Bundesliga home matches (138 out of 170) from 2010 to 2019. Of all teams in Europe's top five leagues, only FC Barcelona boast more (85 percent, 184 out of 192).
5. Lewandowski not to be stopped
Robert Lewandowski scored 221 Bundesliga goals this decade. Only Gerd Müller scored more goals in one decade in the Bundesliga's history, 256 from 1970 to 1979. The Poland captain advanced to third position in the league's all-time scorer rankings. No other Bundesliga pro scored as many headed goals as Lewandowski from 2010 to 2019. Lewandowski scored 34 headed goals, ahead of Stefan Kießling on 26.
6. #NeuerTheWall
Manuel Neuer kept a clean sheet in 139 out of 284 Bundesliga matches this decade, a best-mark in Europe's top five leagues along with Stéphane Ruffier (362 Ligue 1 matches for AS Monaco and Saint Etienne).
7. Ever-present Müller
No other player made as many appearances for one Bundesliga club as Thomas Müller (480) this decade. Only Cristiano Ronaldo (112) made more Champions League appearances than Thomas Müller on 104. However, no other player made as many CL appearances for one club as Müller for Bayern this decade.
8. Assist expert Müller
Müller again! The native Bavarian is the first player to reach 100 Bundesliga assists since detailed data collection began. No other player provided as many Bundesliga goals as Thomas Müller (103, ahead of Franck Ribéry on 75) this decade.
9. Wing wizard Ribéry
No other player made as many successful dribbles in the Bundesliga as Franck Ribéry (697) from 2010 to 2019.
10. Arjen's done it
Arjen Robben scored 81 Bundesliga goals with his left foot this decade, at least 30 more than any other pro (Max Kruse on 51 coming closest). Enjoy his perhaps most important goal again.👇
