Four days before the top of the table clash at league leaders Borussia Mönchengladbach, FC Bayern began the new training week on Tuesday afternoon. Coach Hansi Flick and his assistant Hermann Gerland took charge of a full training field from the sidelines. Robert Lewandowski was there after attending the Ballon d’Or Gala in Paris the previous evening, where he finished in eighth place in the vote.
Just like his teammates the Pole was full of enthusiasm and anticipation for the match at the weekend. The defeat against Leverkusen had no effect on the atmosphere in the team. Bayern showed excellent commitment and technique and scored some good goals in the intensive session.
The long injured Niklas Süle and Lucas Hernández were missing, Fiete Arp trained individually after his hand injury.
