Serge Gnabry must cut back on his workload a little after feeling a strain in his Achilles tendon during training today. The 22-year-old Bayern striker will therefore not be able to complete some of the squad sessions at the team's training camp in Doha. "We had running practice this morning, and during that, that's when he had to stop," coach Hansi Flick explained to the media on Sunday.
Since Saturday, FCB have been based at the Aspire Academy in Doha, where they are preparing for the upcoming second half of the season, staying in Qatar until 10 January. Gnabry will now be treated onsite. "We have to treat it very, very seriously and hope he comes back soon," the coach continued.
