Robert Lewandowski’s recovery is progressing well. While his team-mates travelled back to Germany from the winter training camp in Doha on Friday, the striker again worked on his individual build-up programme at Säbener Strasse. Less than three weeks after his groin operation, Lewandowski is now working with the ball again and, according to Sports Director Hasan Salihamidžić, is "well on track" to be ready for the opener to the second half of the season at Hertha BSC. Coach Hansi Flick, too, is "very optimistic" that the 31-year-old will be fit in time for the first game following the winter break.
