Robert Lewandowski has been voted the best outfield player of the first half of the season by his fellow Bundesliga professionals. A total of 239 of Lewandowski's peers took part in the traditional survey by German sports magazine Kicker, with almost half of them (44.7%) giving their vote to the league's top goalscorer.

Neuer in second place
Lewandowski plundered a whopping 19 goals in the first 17 matches of the campaign, scoring every 78 minutes on average. The Polish forward finished well ahead of Timo Werner of RB Leipzig (14.6%) and Borussia Dortmund's Jadon Sancho (6.7 %) in the survey to claim the honour for the third time.
Meanwhile, Manuel Neuer took second place among the goalkeepers. The FCB captain attracted 10.9% of the votes, behind Borussia Mönchengladbach's Yann Sommer (38.9%).
