The final step on the road to Berlin: FC Bayern entertain Eintracht Frankfurt in the DFB Cup semi-finals! Germany women's international Almuth Schulte has handed Bayern the home tie against the team from Hesse. The duel between the German record champions and Eintracht will take place on 21 or 22 April.
Last cup encounter in 2018 final
Frankfurt beat Werder Bremen 2-0 in the quarter-finals, advancing to the last four for the third time in four years. The 2018 cup winners had beaten Waldhof Mannheim 5-3, St. Pauli 2-1 and 2019 finalists RB Leipzig 3-1 beforehand.
Bayern have not so good memories of the last cup encounter with Frankfurt. Munich lost the 2017/18 final 3-1, the last match under Jupp Heynckes. FCB have a score to settle with SGE. However, Bayern's cup record against Eintracht is positive, with three wins and two defeats.
Bayern eliminated Schalke in the quarter-finals, Joshua Kimmich scoring the match-winner.
