Arjen Robben was a true role model during his active career, pushing to his limits in every match and every training session. The Dutchman, who hung up his boots last summer after winning the double with FC Bayern, still has close ties to the sport. The 36-year-old has been training with Prof Dr Holger Broich, chief scientific officer and head of fitness at FC Bayern, at the club's training facility at the Säbener Strasse over the last few days.

"Unfortunately I've never seen Arjen Robben in a training session. From what I've heard from my colleagues, he's an absolute professional. He's very focused and embodies the mentality it takes to be successful," Bayern coach Hansi Flick said in Friday's press conference ahead of the Bundesliga match against Borussia Mönchengladbach. "It's just delightful to see a world-class player keep fit after his career. And of course it's another good sign that he's asked our fitness coach Holger Broich for support."
