He runs, he intercepts and he scores goals. Alphonso Davies has impressed players, coaches and fans alike with his outstanding performances, so it's not surprising that the Canadian was voted Player of the Month for May by supporters. Davies received 37 percent of the vote, putting him ahead of Joshua Kimmich (30%) and Thomas Müller (14%). It is the third award this season for the full-back, after previous accolades in December and February.

Roadrunner on the left wing
Davies plays on the left of defence - and into the hearts of Bayern fans. Again and again the 19-year-old sprints and catches up with his opponents, even if they seem far away. Because of this ability to accelerate from nothing to top speed, Müller recently coined the nickname "FC Bayern Roadrunner". Another strong characteristic is that he never gives up on a ball and will always put in the tackle to win it back. But Davies is not only convincing at the back. In the four games in May, the starlet scored two goals and provided one assist.
Three Bayern fans can also celebrate
In addition to Davies, three Bayern fans have reason to celebrate. They cast their vote in the poll and won a jersey signed by the monthly winner. We congratulate Jan Laschus, Rainer Steinberger and Jens Uwe Lindhorst on a new home shirt signed by Alphonso Davies. Congratulations!
