Müller makes 350th Bundesliga appearance

Thomas Müller became only the third player to win nine Bundesliga titles last Tuesday, joining Franck Ribéry and David Alaba at the top table of Germany's top flight. In Saturday's 3-1 win over Freiburg, he celebrated another milestone in his remarkable career: Müller made his 350th Bundesliga appearance – all of which have come in an FCB shirt.

Inner drive to perform

Since his debut on 15 August 2008, the Bavarian-born attacker has scored 117 goals in the Bundesliga and set up another 115. What's even more impressive, however, is that he's won 255 of those 350 games. Müller explained his success following his landmark match. "We want to be the best and we want to prove that we're the best every day. That's why we're elite athletes. It's to do with an inner drive, which gives us the right to play for FC Bayern and also enables us to deliver every week," said the 30-year-old.

And the 2013 treble winner has again lived up to those words this season. With 20 assists, he's equallled the Bundesliga record since detailed data collection began. He's also netted seven times himself, so he's played a key role in Bayern's title defence. The 2014 World Cup winner doesn't want to settle there, though. "We're greedy and we still have things we want to achieve this season!"
