This sight will please FC Bayern fans - on Friday, Leroy Sané and Tanguy Nianzou were able to get back on the pitch at Säbener Strasse. For Sané, it was his first running session after his kneecap injury, with Nianzou (out with a thigh injury) already beginning to run the day before. It was an important step for the two summer arrivals in their quest for fitness.

Endurance circuits for new boys
For the other newcomers to the treble-winners, a tough programme was on the agenda at the same time. Marc Roca, Bouna Sarr and Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting completed an intensive strength and conditioning course together with FCB II newbie Tiago Dantas. The quartet completed sprint training against resistance bands, running through a sea of cones or whilst lifting dumbbells into the air. Douglas Costa, on the other hand, underwent the usual performance tests the day before he arrived at the training centre.
Douglas Costa hasn't yet taken part in training. He's been in Munich since Thursday:
