Davies back in full training, Kimmich intensifies his programme

Full focus on the top-of-the-table clash! On Thursday morning, league leaders FC Bayern started their prep ahead of the match against second-placed RB Leipzig on Saturday evening. In icy temperatures, coach Hansi Flick made his team break into a serious sweat - and he was able to fully involve a returning player in training. Alphonso Davies completed the full 90-minute session with his team mates for the first time since his ligament injury at the end of October.

Joshua Kimmich is also making great progress: just under a month after his knee injury in the match against Borussia Dortmund and subsequent knee surgery, the 25-year-old was able to further up his rehab programme. The German international had already started his first running sessions on Monday and was now able to increase his individual training workload with fitness coach Peter Schlosser. In addition to short sprints and running exercises with quick changes of direction, Kimmich also did some light training with the ball again.
