World champions, German champions, DFB Cup winners, European champions, DFL Super Cup winners, UEFA Super Cup winners and Club World Cup champion - you'd be forgiven for thinking that it was the total haul of a handful of clubs, never mind just the titles held by Benjamin Pavard, Lucas Hernández and Corentin Tolisso. The three Frenchmen are currently title holders in all seven competitions - unbelievable. In their most recent triumph, winning the Club World Cup, one of them, Pavard, was responsible for the all-important winner.

Defender on the money when needed
Pavard has been known for crucial, sumptuous goals on an international level since the 2018 World Cup, when he scored the Goal of the Tournament against Argentina in the Last 16. His goal on Thursday may not have been as spectacular but was at least as important. Tigres keeper Nahuel Guzmán parried a Robert Lewandowski header, Pavard showing his eye for goal and popping up in the right place at the right time to dispatch the rebound.
Pavard's belter from distance in the 2018 World Cup:
Putting out fires
The 24-year-old last scored a competitive goal 31 matches ago, a header in the 5-0 Bundesliga victory over Düsseldorf on 30 May 2020. But scoring goals is not his main task. Pavard proved in the Club World Cup that he mainly shines at the back. The full-back intercepted three passes in the final against Tigres, more than any other player. Bayern can count on Pavard, both at the back and up front. Besides, the Frenchman is a guarantor of silverware.
