Four goals and three assists! In the six Bundesliga games played by FC Bayern in January, Thomas Müller once again underscored how good his current form is. "I'm doing very well in front of goal at the moment," the 31-year-old joked after the Schalke game, in which he fired in a brace. The fans were also thrilled with the Bayern veteran's performance and voted him their FC Bayern Player of the Month for January. An impressive 48 per cent of the votes cast went to Müller, putting him ahead of Joshua Kimmich (24 per cent) and Robert Lewandowski (15 per cent).
Müller in double figures for goals and assists
In the league, the 2014 world champion has already notched up ten goals - the first time in five years that he's reached double figures. "I don't think I'll get into triple figures - that might be difficult (laughs). But of course I'm still trying to add to that tally in every game. Where I end up purely in terms of goals scored isn't so crucial. But of course it's fun when you're able to directly contribute to the team's success, and I'll certainly keep at it," he said recently in an interview with fcbayern.com. On top of that, he is, along with Kimmich, the best provider in the league with ten assists.
