Robert Lewandowski has finally laid hands on another well-deserved trophy! The Pole was presented with the award for Germany's Footballer of the Year 2021 by "Kicker" editor-in-chief Jörg Jakob on Saturday before kick-off in the home match against Hertha Berlin. As in the previous year, the Pole won the vote among sports journalists in July and has now been officially honoured. Lewandowski broke Gerd Müller's long-standing record in the Bundesliga with 41 goals in the previous season, so there was never going to be another recipient of the prestigious award.
