Alexander Zverev - The interview
Servus and welcome to Munich! How are you feeling after your Olympic triumph?
Zverev: "Of course, it's an incredible feeling. Winning gold at the Olympics is the greatest thing you can achieve in sport. All the hard work over the last few years is paying off. I'm a very normal person. It's nice to see that the other football legends here are also normal guys."
Did you have to think about whether you could manage a visit to FC Bayern after your gold medal win?
"It had already been planned before I won the gold medal. I really wanted to do it. It's a huge occasion for me as well. It's wonderful to see all these people here."
What's your connection to FC Bayern?
"I have two favourite clubs. Internationally, at a really high level, it's always been FC Bayern. My first jersey was an FC Bayern one, with Oliver Kahn on the back. As a Hamburg fan, I'm also a HSV fan. But FC Bayern is the biggest club in the world for me and also the one I follow the most."
At the Paulaner Legends Cup, the Bayern Legends came together again for the first time since the start of the coronavirus pandemic:
