FC Bayern has extended the contract of goalkeeper Christian Früchtl until 2023, while Malik Tillman has signed a professional deal until 2024. Früchtl, 21, joined the club’s U15 team from SpVgg Grün-Weiß Deggendorf in 2014. Striker Tillman, 19, arrived in Munich a year later from SpVgg Greuther Fürth.
Board member for sport Hasan Salihamidžić: “We’re very pleased with the development of Christian Früchtl and Malik Tillman. Both came to us as young talents and are fine examples of our youth development. They’ve got all the ingredients to go all the way. There’s a lot more to come from them.”
Christian Früchtl: “I’m delighted to have extended my contract at FC Bayern and to have the trust of the club. It’s a privilege for a young goalkeeper to train alongside Manuel Neuer and it spurs me on. I have the best chance here to develop.”
Malik Tillman: “I would like to thank FC Bayern for the faith in me, and I’m happy that I can be part of the first-team squad. My aim is to establish myself at the highest level, and I’ll give everything to achieve that.”
