
Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting and the Cameroon national team got their 2022 World Cup qualifying campaign off to a winning start. The Indomitable Lions defeated Malawi 2-0 on Friday evening thanks to goals from Vincent Aboubakar (9') and Michael Ngadeu-Ngadjui (23'). Choupo-Moting was substituted shortly after the hour mark. The win sees Cameroon immediately take up top spot in Group D of qualifying, ahead of their second match away to Ivory Coast on Monday.
