A select group of guests were privy to a special show on Monday evening as they watched the first two episodes of “FC Bayern – Behind the Legend”. At the premiere at Munich’s ARRI cinema, those involved in the production but also the main actors were part of the audience, and they were allowed to walk the red carpet like real film stars.
Bayern players Manuel Neuer and Thomas Müller, as well as club management with president Herbert Hainer and CEO Oliver Kahn, got to experience an emotional journey back in time to perhaps the most successful episode in the club’s history – an era in which they played a decisive role. Since winning the treble in summer 2020, the team was accompanied up close by a camera crew for over ten months, creating an unprecedented look behind the scenes of Germany’s most successful club. Around 2,000 hours of raw and archive material were collected on around 100 days of filming at more than 25 locations and compiled into a unique documentary.
Available to all fans in Germany from 2 November
A total of six 45-minute episodes will be available to watch on Prime Video from 2 November in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. “FC Bayern – Behind the Legend” will then be streamable for everyone around the world one month later in eight different languages for all Bayern fans.
