Extra shift in the snow for Süle, Gnabry und Co.

Ahead of the intense preparations for the top match at Borussia Dortmund on Saturday (18:30 CET), Julian Nagelsmann gave his players a rest day at the start of the week - but not all of the FC Bayern players took up the opportunity.

Returnees forego break

A training group of six composed of Niklas Süle, Serge Gnabry, Jamal Musiala, Christian Früchtl, Josip Stanišić

plus Michaël Cuisance put in an extra shift under the eyes of their head coach on Monday. On the snow-covered pitch at Säbener Straße, the sextet warmed up with football tennis and shooting practice.

Süle, Gnabry and Musiala were able to make their comebacks at the weekend after self-isolation as substitutes in the 1-0 win against Bielefeld. Two other FCB players recovering from injury are also working towards that: Tanguy Nianzou (after shoulder injury) and Bouna Sarr (slight muscular injury to groin) worked on their return to the squad this morning in an individual session.
