Nagelsmann: We were incredibly good in the second half

FC Bayern put on a real goal show on Tuesday evening in their last away game of the year! The Munich team defeated VfB Stuttgart 5-0, celebrating the autumn championship a game early. "In the second half we were unbelievably good," said coach Julian Nagelsmann after the final whistle. "It was a great day," said a delighted Serge Gnabry, scorer of a hat-trick. fcbayern.com has both camps' reaction from the game.

Reaction from the Bayern camp:

Julian Nagelsmann: "In the second half we were unbelievably good. Three goals came immediately after we won the ball. I rarely praise an individual player ahead of the team, but today Marc [Roca] deserved it. To come in today and play the way he did - the way he fought, the way he gave his all, he had an extremely big impact on the game. I love players like that, who are very unselfish. We had a tough game on Saturday, now today, and now it's on to Friday where we want to pick up three points."

Thomas Müller: "It wasn't an easy game, but especially in the second half, when it's 5-0, we had a lot of fun on the pitch. The pitch wasn't in perfect condition, so the ball wasn't so easy to control, but that gave us a lot of room to move when we won the ball. Stuttgart's high line made the game difficult for us, but it made scoring goals easy. Stuttgart played decently, but with the risks they took, they left space for us. With our quality up front, you can't hold us back after a while."

Serge Gnabry: "There have definitely been worse games. Of course it feels extremely good that we played so well and won by so much. It was a great day. Stuttgart are a good team that piled on the pressure at the beginning of the second half. With our second and third goal, we killed the game off. Of course, 5-0 is great. I had set myself a lot of targets after not playing so much of late. I was motivated. I wouldn't have dared to dream that I'd have a game like today's."

Marc Roca: "I'm very happy. All the players and coaching staff helped me. It was a good game for us and an important win. We played well. We're very happy. But we have another game on Friday and we have to focus on that now."

Reaction from the VfB camp:

Sven Mislintat (Sporting Director, VfB Stuttgart): "We were nicely in the game in the first half and in the second half too, up until the 60th minute. Then we had our first setback conceding the second goal, but we were still in it. But Bayern are ice-cold. In the end, we were given a lesson. They have incredible quality in the final third. We have nothing to be ashamed of. Bayern have that ability to dismantle teams, not just those in Germany. That's not our yardtsick. But we showed a lot of quality for the first 60 minutes."

Florian Müller (VfB Stuttgart): "It hurts. It felt like every shot they had in the second half ended up as a goal. That simply must not happen against Bayern. We made too many mistakes. We played well at times - especially in the first half. After the interval, we simply gave the ball away far too many times."

Philipp Förster (VfB Stuttgart): "The bottom line is that we made too many mistakes today and these simple mistakes will just be punished when you play Bayern. In that respect, we can accept losing. Nevertheless, we played well until we went 2-0 down. We can build on the performance in the first 60 minutes of the game and take it with us into the away game against 1.FC Köln, where we will hopefully go into the winter break with some success under our belts."
