Saturday brought news of positive developments regarding Alphonso Davies. "He’s fortunately well on the road to recovery," said coach Julian Nagelsmann after FC Bayern's 4-2 defeat at VfL Bochum. The 21-year-old defender was diagnosed with symptoms of myocarditis, a heart muscle condition, in mid-January. "It's still taking a little while. But the dangerous signals sent out by the heart have almost gone. There are still one or two things that need a bit more time. He’ll have another check-up in a fortnight. The best-case scenario has occurred in terms of the healing process," Nagelsmann reported. Davies was present to watch his teammates train on Friday. Everyone connected with the club hopes he will be back out on the pitch very soon.
