FC Bayern started preparations for the Bundesliga match against Bayer 04 Leverkusen with a nice tradition on Tuesday morning. After not being able to do so recently due to the pandemic, Julian Nagelsmann's team were able to train in front of fans for the first time this calendar year. During the open session at Säbener Straße, Bayern were able to welcome back a key player to team training. Thomas Müller was back for the first time after his COVID-enforced isolation.

Neuer trains alone & Süle absent
Captain Manuel Neuer, who completed a goalkeeping-specific session for the first time again on Monday, continued to train alone on Tuesday. Furthermore, centre-back Niklas Süle was missing as he is struggling with back problems. Leon Goretzka and Bouna Sarr trained alone on the side.
Looking to consolidate top spot
Bayern want to further tighten their grip on top spot in the Bundesliga with a win at home to third-placed Leverkusen on Saturday. They have an eight-point lead at the top of the table over closest rivals Borussia Dortmund.
On Sunday, FC Bayern invited 40 members to a brunch in the *1900 clubhouse at FCB Campus on the occasion of the club's 122nd anniversary.
