Alphonso Davies took the first step on the comeback trail on Sunday morning, completing a running session at FC Bayern's training ground on Säbener Straße for the first time in almost two months. The 21-year-old left back was diagnosed with symptoms of myocarditis in mid-January.
Starting gently
As Julian Nagelsmann explained in the press conference following the 1-1 draw at Hoffenheim on Saturday, Davies' "heart muscle inflammation is gone". The Canadian will now be gradually eased back into the squad over the next three to four weeks, but Davies will only have a "moderate workload" to begin with, emphasised the head coach.
