Manuel Neuer: Ten years in a row - that's incredible!

What an evening for FC Bayern! A 3-1 win in Der Klassiker on Saturday against Borussia Dortmund clinched a 32nd league championship for the men from Munich in the club's history and a tenth Bundesliga title in a row. "We're super happy. There were 75,000 fans in the Allianz Arena and we definitely didn't want to let [Dortmund] take that opportunity away from us," said captain Manuel Neuer. Team-mate Thomas Müller summed it up in a nutshell: "Becoming Bundesliga winners is always the best thing.” fcbayern.com has collated the reaction from both camps after sealing the title win.

Reaction from the Bayern camp to the title win

Hasan Salihamidžić: "We deserved this. The players had an outstanding game. The coach has won his first German league title, the coaching staff really deserved this. I'm proud of the squad and really happy. The whole thing, all in front of a full crowd - that's what we needed."

Julian Nagelsmann: "It felt good. It was important that we got over the line today. It was a good setting. The beer shower was quite cold, I'm still a bit cold now. It's my first big title and a significant moment. It wasn't all that easy, we took some knocks that weren’t easy to come back from. That's why it's all the more wonderful now. The team have great character.”

Manuel Neuer: "We're super happy. The only thing better than winning the title in a game like this would be doing so with the real trophy here. Thomas [Müller] and I are champions for the tenth year in a row - that's incredible! For us, it was about finishing the season in a controlled manner after losing out to Villarreal. There were 75,000 fans in the Allianz Arena and we definitely didn't want to let [Dortmund] take that opportunity away from us. Of course, we had a few low moments, but you can see that everyone wants to play. That's what's special about our team."

Thomas Müller: "The chance to win the title today, with the way the cards had fallen - we wanted it badly. We withstood all the pressure. Regardless of the talk from outside, how people rate the quality of the league. You always have to go and win the league first. Of course we have a great squad, great players, but you have to do it on the pitch first. Becoming Bundesliga winners is always the best thing. The Bundesliga is what the fans go to the stadium for. Today everything is just terrific. We set out to do it and it came off.”

Robert Lewandowski: "Being league winners is a great story. You have to enjoy that. It was a game where we showed we are here and want to be champions. Every title win is different. Today it was a clear win and we showed that we're better. It's not easy to always show this consistency, to play great football all season. It'll probably take a few years to realise what a great success it’s been to win the title for the tenth time in a row.”

Reaction from the BVB camp:

Marco Rose (Borussia Dortmund head coach): “Well done to Bayern for winning the league. In the second half, we finished off our attacks better. That was missing in the first half. In addition, we made an individual mistake just before their second goal. We were able to open things up a bit in the second half and had some really good opportunities."

Marco Reus (Borussia Dortmund): “If you look at the goals we conceded, it's been a pattern throughout the season. They've been individual mistakes. Up front, we didn't play passages to the end. Our build-up was good, but then we didn't finish the job. After the break, we were competing well and pulled one back. But Bayern had more opportunities. The difference today was that Bayern were more consistent."
