What Bayern said at the title celebrations on Marienplatz

Finally celebrating with you again! On Sunday, FC Bayern’s title party on Marienplatz took place. “What a wonderful day, which we've had to wait three years for. It's nice to see you all. Without you, the club wouldn't be what it is. You are FC Bayern,” said president Herbert Hainer. CEO Oliver Kahn is already looking forward. “Next season we’ll really go for it again and we’ll see you here again. Thank you.” We’ve rounded up the interviews from the title celebrations for you.

Interviews from the Town Hall balcony

Herbert Hainer: “What a wonderful day, which we've had to wait three years for. It's nice to see you all. Without you, the club wouldn't be what it is. You are FC Bayern! I'd like to thank Dieter Reiter. We want to come back next year, the year after that and the next 10 years. These days our thoughts are also with the people in Ukraine. With your support, FC Bayern will do what it can to help the people. The FC Bayern family says: this war must stop, now.”

Oliver Kahn: “I’m impressed, and I know what we’ve been missing these last three years. It was this feeling of standing here. Your support, your energy, are what make football and what make Bayern Munich. I heard that the competition are getting their hopes up of being champions next year. I can tell you one thing: you can kiss goodbye to that hope. We’ve achieved something that’s unparalleled - winning the title 10 years in a row is something that no one has managed in Europe’s top five leagues. We can be proud of that. Next season we’ll really go for it again and we’ll see you here again. Thank you.”

Julian Nagelsmann: “As a young child I often stood down there and hoped to one day be up here. Now a dream comes true. I want to celebrate more titles with your next year. Thank you for your support.”

Manuel Neuer: “Thank you all for coming! We’ve had to wait a long time for this. In the coming years, we want to be standing up here again and celebrating with you.”

Thomas Müller: “Thank you for all being here today. Every year it's fun to give it everything for this club again. We've also had moments in which it's not gone as well, but you were there for us. Your support has been great.”

Robert Lewandowski: “I’ve done what I love doing: scoring goals. With this team it's ever nicer, I get so much service. We missed being able to celebrate with you the last two years. The 10th championship is a legendary tale. Everything we achieve, we do it together and for you.”

Tanguy Nianzou: “It was crazy. I’m happy, it was my first time on the balcony with the fans. I hope we can come back next year. I’m looking forward to the holiday, which I’ll spend with my family.”

Dieter Reiter (mayor): “A warm welcome to the home of FC Bayern, on Marienplatz. There’s no better proof of who the best team in Germany is than winning the title 10 times in a row. I've been mayor for eight years and FC Bayern have been champions every year. I have another four years at least, and I’m not going to change over. It’s super that you’re all here; it’s nice that we can celebrate together again.”
