Despite a goal from their captain Robert Lewandowski, Poland went down to a heavy 6-1 defeat in their UEFA Nations League clash against Belgium in Brussels on Wednesday night. The 33-year-old Bayern striker put the visitors in front in the 28th minute after being set up by Sebastian Szymanski, but Axel Witsel pulled Belgium level shortly before half-time (42').

After the break, there was no stopping the Red Devils. Kevin de Bruyne made it 2-1 in the 59th minute before a late flurry of goals, rounded off by Lois Openda in the third minute of added time to complete the 6-1 scoreline.
