The USA up close with Jamal Musiala! We're meeting up with the 19-year-old FC Bayern shooting star every evening in the team hotel. In his diary, the Germany international takes you to Washington DC and Green Bay on the Audi Summer Tour 2022.
Servus, Bayern fans!
First thing’s first, it was a really cool day to finish off in DC. Before we fly to Green Bay, our last stop in the US, on Friday morning, we got to drive a nice Pace again. Training, media appointments, tours – we had it all today.
The good news is that I was able to take part in the whole of training again in the morning after missing the friendly against DC United on Wednesday with a muscular problem. The focus now turns to Green Bay, where we’re facing Manchester City at Lambeau Field on Saturday.
🏀 After lunch at the team hotel, there was no training but several appointments. But they were really cool. First, Phonzie and I went to the training ground of the Washington Wizards NBA team. My team is the Golden State Warriors with Steph Curry, but today was really cool. We met Wizards legends Gheorghe Muresan and Michael Adams. I looked like a little boy next to 7’7’’ Muresan, the tallest NBA player ever 😅 I can’t say too much yet about what we did, but you can look forward to the challenge 🙌
Straight after we went with the whole team to the White House. A tour of the President’s seat of government is normally not so easy to do, but it was really impressive and an extraordinary experience for all of us. In the evening, we had the embassy night in DC. We ate there, signed a few autographs, took part in a few competitions and challenges – like Serge, Paul and Nous competing against guests in a goal wall shootout. That was a nice evening with the whole team and staff to finish our time in Washington. Now we’re packed for Green Bay and head off to Lake Michigan tomorrow morning. I’ll be in touch again from there!
