Bayern are getting going again! Before the official start of pre-season training this Monday (LIVE on fcbayern.com), the first group of players are completing their fitness tests over the weekend. Nine players reported for medical checks on Saturday morning, 49 days since the last match of last season. Sven Ulreich, Dayot Upamecano, Omar Richards, Paul Wanner, Bouna Sarr, Gabriel Vidović and Malik Tillman as well as Chris Richards and Joshua Zirkzee, who have recently returned from loan spells, underwent various radiological and cardiological examinations at the Barmherzige Brüder hospital in Munich. Lung function tests and blood sampling were also on the programme.

Next for the group on Sunday are the performance tests at Säbener Straße. We’ll be there again bringing you the most important info. Then on Monday, head coach Julian Nagelsmann welcomes the first group of players back onto the pitch for the first time from 10:00 CEST. The internationals who were in action in June, along with the new signings, will join training in the coming days.
