Herbert Hainer was re-elected as FC Bayern Munich president at the 2022 annual general meeting by a large majority of members present at the Audi Dome on Saturday. “Thank you for your trust, I won’t disappoint you. I accept the vote,” the 68-year-old said after his re-election. Hainer took office in November 2019 when he succeeded Uli Hoeneß. Hainer had already been a member of the club’s supervisory board since the creation of FC Bayern München AG in 2002 and has been chair of the board since 2019.
Prof. Dr. Dieter Mayer and Walter Mennekes also re-elected
The incumbent vice-presidents, Prof. Dr. Dieter Mayer and Walter Mennekes, were also confirmed in office after their successful work in the past years and will continue to support Hainer.
