Welcome back, gents! With a large part of the squad away at the World Cup in Qatar, a small group of Bayern players resumed training on Monday. After being able to rest during two weeks off, Ryan Gravenberch, Marcel Sabitzer, Mathys Tel, Paul Wanner along with goalkeeper Johannes Schenk were back on the training ground at Säbener Straße, where they completed a session together with the reserves. Sven Ulreich missed the first session but will join the group on Tuesday.

This two-week training phase for Sabitzer and Co lasts until 9 December, when the well-desrved winter break begins. While that's happening on the pitch, long-term injury casualties Sadio Mané (surgery on fibula), Lucas Hernández (cruciate ligament tear) and Bouna Sarr (knee surgery) will continue their rehab programmes in the coming days. Bayern then begin their preparations for the second half of the season from 3 January 2023.
