Congratulations, Phonzy! Alphonso Davies has been named Canada Soccer Player of the Year in his home country. It's already the fourth time the 22-year-old has received the award after 2018, 2020 and 2021. Along with the Bundesliga title and DFL-Supercup with FC Bayern, Davies also enjoyed historic successes with the Canadian national team this year as the North Americans qualified for a World Cup finals for the first time since 1986. The Bayern left-back also scored Canada's first ever World Cup goal at the tournament in Qatar in the 4-1 defeat to Croatia.
