Until next year, guys! FC Bayern now head off for a three-and-a-half-week winter break after their final training session of 2022 at Säbener Straße on Friday. While the majority of the squad are or have been in action at the World Cup in Qatar, a small group including Sven Ulreich, Marcel Sabitzer, Ryan Gravenberch, Mathys Tel, Paul Wanner and Johannes Schenk have been training at the Munich training ground since late November. The last session on Friday was again held in conjunction with the Bayern reserves.

It'll be quiet on the pitch at Bayern for now, although long-term injury absentees Sadio Mané (fibula surgery), Lucas Hernández (cruciate ligament) and Bouna Sarr (knee surgery) - who again completed laps on Friday - will continue their rehab programmes. Bayern then begin their preparations for the second half of the season on 3 January 2023.
