FC Bayern have loaned Marcel Sabitzer, 28, to Manchester United until 30 June 2023. The midfielder joined Germany’s record champions from RB Leipzig at the end of August 2021.
Hasan Salihamidži ć, FC Bayern board member for sport: “Manchester United expressed an interest in Marcel Sabitzer at the beginning of the week. Marcel told us he would like more playing time and he’s confident he will get that at United. After consultation with our coach Julian Nagelsmann, we accepted the request and have loaned Marcel to Manchester United until 30 June. We wish him every success for the second half of the season with United.”
Sabitzer has scored two goals and made two assists in 54 competitive appearances for FC Bayern. He won the Bundesliga and DFL Supercup with Bayern in 2022. Sabitzer is an Austria international and is contracted to FC Bayern until the summer of 2025.
