Claudio Pizarro in China for Der Klassiker
There were several events across China where Bayern fans got to watch their team’s impressive display. Club legend Claudio Pizarro was in the city of Qingdao to enjoy the game alongside 350 supporters. The former FCB striker posed for photos, took part in challenges, a Q&A and presented the annual fan club award.
Fan events across Asia
There was support for Thomas Müller and his team from other parts of Asia as well, including Tokyo and Seoul. Fans were treated to a real highlight ahead of the game when Pizarro joined them virtually for an online chat. Over in both Bangkok and Jakarta, over 120 FCB and BVB fans came together to watch the action.
Real excitement in the Americas
Over on the other side of the world, football fans in the USA also gathered in their numbers for Der Klassiker. Bayern’s various fan clubs in Texas came together for a big watch party in Austin, with 500 supporters from across the Lone Star State meeting to watch the Bundesliga champions reclaim top spot. There was also a public viewing in Mexico City where around 500 fans of both clubs got to watch and enjoy the game.
