Back on the pitch at last! Manuel Neuer started doing individual, goalkeeper-specific exercises on the FC Bayern training pitch at Säbener Straße this week. "I'm satisfied. We're not setting ourselves a schedule. I'm trying to push the boundaries, to get the maximum out of everything so I can progress and move forward as quickly as possible," Neuer said on Thursday after a session with goalkeeping coach Michael Rechner.
The 37-year-old suffered a fracture of his lower right leg after the World Cup in December and underwent surgery on the day of the accident in Murnau. Initially, Neuer had initially worked on his comeback at the German record champions' performance centre, and now the next step in his rehabilitation fhas been taken with his return to the training pitch.
