In their final group match at the European Under-21 Championship, Ryan Gravenberch and Netherlands U21s could only manage a 1-1 draw against co-hosts Georgia, thereby failing to qualify for the quarter-finals. The Bayern midfielder was on the pitch for the full 90 minutes, as he was in the previous two games against Belgium (0-0) and Portugal (1-1).

After the Georgian opening goal from Zuriko Davitashvili in the 42nd minute, the Dutch youngsters replied through Kenneth Taylor in the sixth minute of first-half stoppage time. With Portugal beating Belgium 2-1 in the other game, the Jong Oranje slipped to third in the group. Georgia, who are staging the tournament together with Romania, claimed first place with five points.
