There are goals that can't be left out of any season review. Some are spectacular, some are unbelievable, some decide games – or sometimes all three. Jamal Musiala managed to do just that and more on 27 May of this year in Cologne. His moment of magic was not just a highlight of a gripping season, but also a piece of Bundesliga history.
Bayern secured their 11th straight Bundesliga title in Cologne thanks to Musiala's goal.
While many supporters of the German record champions saw the championship as lost in the dying minutes of the final matchday, the 20-year-old delivered the decisive strike in the title race with a brilliant individual action in the 87th minute. In one of the most dramatic title showdowns in the history of the German top flight, the attacker had the final say with his goal and immortalised himself. The fans could celebrate another title defence and have thanked Musiala by voting it the 2022/23 FC Bayern Goal of the Season.
Musiala: 'A great honour for me'
"This is a great honour for me and I'd like to thank all the Bayern fans. The goal was an incredible moment for me. I'm very happy that I could contribute to us still becoming champions with my goal," said Musiala, who clinched the award with around 43 percent of the votes. The Germany international also sees it as an incentive for the challenges ahead. "Now I'm just looking ahead to the new season, though. We have a lot ahead of us and have started pre-season well. We can achieve a lot and want to have a better season than the last," added Musiala.

Second place also went to the fan favourite for his solo goal against Wolfsburg in February, which attracted almost 21 percent of the votes, while Joshua Kimmich's long-range thunderbolt in the reverse fixture against 1.
