FC Bayern have extended goalkeeper Johannes Schenk's contract by another year until 30 June 2025. The club has agreed with the 20-year-old on a loan to third-division Preußen Münster until the end of the season in order for him to gain match practice.
Jan-Christian Dreesen, FC Bayern CEO: "Johannes Schenk has developed steadily since his transfer to our FC Bayern Campus as a young player. As the next step, he now needs regular appearances at the professional level, which is why we decided on the loan deal with Preußen Münster. We'll follow his progress closely."
Schweinfurt-born Schenk joined the German record champions' Under-16s from 1. FC Nürnberg in the summer of 2017. Thanks to consistently strong performances over the years at the FC Bayern Campus, he earned a professional contract. He has kept goal for the fourth-tier FC Bayern reserves 29 times so far.
