Manuel Neuer is continuing to work on his comeback at Bayern. The 37-year-old completed an individual training session with goalkeeper drills outside at Säbener Straße on Friday morning. Neuer successfully underwent a planned operation to remove an implant in his right fibula two weeks ago.
“The operation with Manuel was very positive. The prognosis for returning to team training has shortened,” said head coach Thomas Tuchel at his press conference on Thursday ahead of the opening Bundesliga game of the season away at Werder Bremen. He added of the club captain: “What I’ve seen of Manu in recent days was very impressive. We’re expecting him to be involved in team training in the next weeks.”
