New Audi company cars for Bayern players
Shortly after their successful start to the Bundesliga season, the FC Bayern first team are now also taking off with their new electric company cars. On Wednesday, Thomas Müller and his teammates received their vehicles for the coming year from automotive partner and shareholder Audi. The hugely successful cooperation between the record champions and the carmaker from Ingolstadt has been running since 2002.
Jung: ‘FC Bayern and Audi – a well-practised team’
Andreas Jung, FC Bayern board member for marketing: “After over 20 years of partnership, FC Bayern and Audi are an outstandingly well-practised team. We’ll be continuing our journey again this season with sustainable mobility. In doing so, we are striving for further success together – both on the pitch and in our commitment to making the future ever better environmentally.”
Keys handed over by Audi staff
The Munich side took delivery of their new vehicles on Wednesday at the Audi Piazza in Ingolstadt. The keys were handed over by Audi employees, who then had the opportunity to meet the stars of the German record champions. In addition, children of Audi employees aged between six and ten formed a guard of honour for the players. The players took plenty of time for autographs and souvenir photos during the vehicle handover and then also visited the Audi headquarters in Ingolstadt.
Entirely electric fleet once again
The whole fleet of vehicles for FC Bayern is again made up of fully electric, premium cars. The most popular model among the FCB players this year is again the Audi RS e-tron GT, with 12 players in total – including Müller, Leroy Sané and Joshua Kimmich – opting for the four-door coupé.
