Frans Krätzig, who scored the winning goal, described feeling "pure emotion" after his wonder strike. fcbayern.com has compiled the reaction to the final friendly of the tour.
Reaction to the game against Liverpool
Thomas Tuchel: "It's a terrific end to the tour to Asia, after ten exhausting and energy-sapping days. It was a good performance and a good result. I'm very happy we were able to perform like that at the end of the tour and get a win against one of the top teams in Europe. We'll continue to focus on the process of getting better and growing as a team. The game shows we're on the right track. You can only win against Liverpool if you perform as a team. We went behind twice, picked ourselves up again, didn't give up. There's still some time until the season starts, we still have some more steps to take, but we're on the right track."
Joshua Kimmich: "Today's win means we're heading home with a positive feeling, of course. We were a bit fresher today than in the two previous games. We didn't start the game well, but we remained composed and believed in our quality. We have great quality, and you could see that in the second half and the last 30 minutes."
Matthijs de Ligt: "I think we had a good game and can be satisfied. We have a good team and I think you could see that today. It wasn't an easy game against good opponents. It's nice to see that the integration of the new players is working so well."
Frans Krätzig: "It was purely an instinctive shot. I didn't have many chances and virtually had to shoot because two world-class defenders were chasing me. I thought the ball would either fly into the sky or into the corner. Fortunately it went in, and I just felt pure emotion. I'm very happy and glad I got the opportunity to show what I can do on the tour. We wrapped up the past ten days in a great way."
View from the Liverpool camp
Jürgen Klopp (Liverpool coach): "It was clear it would be an intense game between two strong teams. I saw lots of good things, but also some things I didn't like. We've been training hard. The goals we conceded were due to a lack of concentration. The support from the fans was terrific."
Virgil van Dijk (Liverpool captain): "Bayern won. Winning is always nice. Today it wasn't about the result first and foremost, but about our progress in pre-season. We'll improve."
