FC Bayern Hilfe eV donates €10,000

FC Bayern Hilfe eV donated €10,000 to the "Haching schaut hin" association during the men's first team's 4-2 friendly victory over AS Monaco at Sportpark Unterhaching on Monday. Karl Hopfner, in his capacity as chairman of the FC Bayern Hilfe eV charitable foundation, handed over the cheque to the representatives of "Haching schaut hin" headed by chairman Klaus Maier and SpVgg Unterhaching president Manfred Schwabl. Hopfner was joined by his fellow board member and Bayern honorary president Uli Hoeneß, FCB president Herbert Hainer and deputy chairman Michael Diederich. The third tier-club launched "Haching schaut hin" a year ago to give support to people in need in the region.

It was "a nice one-two between neighbours", Hopfner said: "FC Bayern Hilfe eV, like 'Haching schaut hin eV', has the goal of supporting people and institutions who are in need through no fault of their own. SpVgg Unterhaching's initiative has a special focus on those in need in the region, and we're pleased to make a contribution in this way as well." Hopfner once again thanked the members, fans and supporters of the German record champions who make a big difference to FC Bayern Hilfe eV with their donations: "Since all of our work is done on a voluntary basis, there are no additional costs - so all donations go 100 per cent to people who need help."

"We're delighted about this generous support from FC Bayern Hilfe eV," said "Haching schaut hin eV" chairman Maier. "We'll use this donation diligently and responsibly for those in need in the region, and can thus help many people who urgently need assistance."
