Yann Sommer is leaving FC Bayern to move to Inter Milan in Italy's Serie A. The 34-year-old goalkeeper joined the German record champions from Borussia Mönchengladbach in the winter.
FC Bayern CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen: "We understand and respect Yann Sommer's desire to seek a new challenge at Inter Milan because he wants to play as the number one goalkeeper in the long term. We wish him all the best and every success for the future."
The Switzerland goalkeeper (83 caps) made 25 competitive appearances for FC Bayern following his transfer during the winter break. In total, Sommer played in the Bundesliga from 2014 to 2023. He leaves Munich for Lombardy as a reigning German champion.
