Thomas Tuchel: "It's great to be on nine points - hats off to the team. Galatasaray take a lot of risks, so you need a clear plan and can't play backwards too often. We weren't quite at it early on. That's why it was such a complicated first half, which wasn't good. The second half was a lot better, though, particularly how we moved the ball. We have a really dangerous front line, even when we're not playing well. That helps us get through difficult phases. You mustn't forget Galatasaray were unbeaten in 17 matches here. So it's a good and important win."

Kaan Ayhan (Galatasaray defender): "Obviously there are a lot of long faces in the dressing room, and rightly so. There was more in it for us today. We played really well for the first 70 minutes, then Bayern got a chance and we let the game slip away from us. We were also punished for not taking our own chances."
