FC Bayern will have been represented in the USA for ten years in 2024. To mark the anniversary, the record German champions have now moved their office into new, special premises in New York, in the historic Rockefeller Center in the heart of Manhattan. More than 100 guests attended the opening, including board member for marketing Andreas Jung.

“The great work of our international offices is a unique selling point of FC Bayern in the world. Our international employees act as a local point of contact for fans around the globe. It is not only because of this dedication that FC Bayern is closer to its fans than almost any other club, which means that the global FC Bayern family is constantly growing,” said Jung. He still remembers well how the US office was opened in 2014 and said at the inauguration of the new premises: “Back then, it was a big adventure for us - now we’re moving into an office here in the world-famous Rockefeller Center. That shows the story of FC Bayern in the USA is one of success.” Since 2014, the number of fan clubs in the entire region has grown from eight to around 200, and the numerous partnerships with companies, associations, media and sports organisations also prove, according to Jung, “that FC Bayern has long since put down roots in the USA. We have done pioneering work here.” From its new office, FC Bayern will “take the next steps to make our club and German football even more popular in North and Latin America”.

Dee Kundra joined the team in New York in 2017 and has been running the office for a year and a half now. At the opening, she looked to the future, not least to the 2026 World Cup, which will take place in the USA, Canada and Mexico. “Enthusiasm for soccer is growing and growing - and FC Bayern is right in the middle of it all thanks to our office in New York. We have built up a wide range of partnerships and contacts in this important market over many years.” The potential for the future is huge right now. She continued: “We are at the epicentre of international football in the coming years and know that we will be here and take the FC Bayern brand out into the world. We have now made a further statement in this regard by moving into the iconic Rockefeller Center. The clear goal is that we will be one of the best-known football clubs in the Americas after 2027.”

Huge engagement in the region
Throughout North and Latin America, the record German champions have organised partnerships with Major League Soccer's Los Angeles FC, in women's football with Tigres Femenil in Mexico, with the Kansas City Chiefs in American football, as well as a global cooperation with PRIME Hydration and numerous youth football programmes such as the FC Bayern World Squad. Last but not least, the five US tours organised by the Munich club since 2014 have been very successful. For the opening of the office, the team travelled from New York to Portland, in 2016 the stops were Chicago, Charlotte and New York, in 2018 Philadelphia and Miami, the following year Los Angeles, Houston and Kansas City, and in the summer of 2022 Washington and Green Bay to engage directly with fans and partners across the States through high-calibre matches, training sessions and various activities.
The office in New York has become a model for success. It was FC Bayern's first international office, followed by Shanghai in 2017 and Bangkok in 2022.
