The memorial service for Franz Beckenbauer takes place at the Allianz Arena on Friday (free admission passes HERE), and the worldwide interest has been huge. After Beckenbauer's long-time companions Uli Hoeneß, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, Bayern president Herbert Hainer and CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen had made the start, fans from all over the world entered their emotional words. From England to Uganda, China and Australia to Brazil – people around the world are united in remembrance of one of the greatest players in football history.
The response to the books of condolence at Säbener Straße and in the FC Bayern Museum has also been huge. They have already had to be replaced several times due to the large number of entries. There is also still the opportunity to sign here until January 31.
