South Korea, featuring Minjae Kim dropped their first points in World Cup qualifying against Thailand.

In their first outing since their semi-final exit from the Asian Cup, the South Korean national team were held to a 1-1 draw by Thailand on Thursday. The team, featuring Minjae Kim, who played the full 90 minutes, took the lead through a Heung-Min Son strike in the 42nd minute, but conceded an equaliser through Suphanat Mueanta after the break (61').

It means the South Koreans continue to lead their group in the Asian World Cup qualifiers with seven points. The team started the campaign with two wins from two games against Singapore (5-0) and China (3-0). On Tuesday (26 March, 13:30 CEST), the South Korean team have a rematch with Thailand in Bangkok.

Mathys Tel France U19s

After scoring his maiden goal for the French U21s in October, captain Mathys Tel has done it again for his country. The Bayern striker scored for the U19s in the European Championship qualifier against Belgium to make it 2-0.

France, led by Mathys Tel, got off to a dream start in U19 European Championship qualifying, winning 2-0 against Belgium on Wednesday evening. The Bayern striker started the game, scored a penalty in the 33rd minute to make it 2-0 and was substituted on 81 minutes. Paris Saint-Germain's Senny Mayulu had bagged the early opener (15'). The France youngsters are now second in their group after the first matchday and face leaders the Netherlands on Saturday (23 March, 16:00 CEST) and Lithuania on Tuesday (26 March, 19:00 CEST).
