Christoph Freund, FC Bayern sporting director: “Lovro Zvonarek, Noel Aseko Nkili and Adam Aznou are young players with a lot of potential. The fact we can once again give three youth players professional contracts says a lot for our work at the FC Bayern Campus. It is our philosophy to have the greatest possible permeability to the first team because it is an important component of FC Bayern to develop young players for the absolute top level. We will continue to closely support the three of them on their next step. They have everything they need to succeed.”

Jochen Sauer, director of youth development: “We are delighted that these three boys, who could all still play in the U19s, have signed their first professional contract with FC Bayern. Lovro has already made his first mark in senior football with his first Bundesliga goal. Noel and Adam are regulars with our second team and have repeatedly shown their great footballing potential in their respective positions. We have confidence in all three of them to make their mark with our senior team in the long term.”

Zvonarek joined FC Bayern in the summer of 2022 from Slaven Belupo in his native Croatia. The U21 international made his Bundesliga debut in the 3-2 win over Augsburg in January and has made a total of four appearances for the first team. He scored his first senior goal in the 2-0 win against Wolfsburg at the Allianz Arena on Sunday. He has so far played 39 times for the second team (12 goals).

Aseko Nkili also moved to FC Bayern in the summer of 2022, joining from hometown club Hertha Berlin. The former Germany U18 international has made 17 appearances for FC Bayern’s reserves.

Aznou joined FC Bayern in summer 2022. He was born in Barcelona and is a citizen of both Spain and Morocco, for whose U21 national team he plays. Aznou can play on the left wing in both attacking and defensive capacities. He has made 11 appearances for the Bayern second team.
