FC Bayern's long-standing partner, leading brewery Paulaner, helped make fan dreams come true in Seoul and organised a meet & greet with professionals at the FC Bayern pop-up store in the Korean capital. The guests included goalkeeper Sven Ulreich and Germany international Jamal Musiala, alongside a select few, enthusiastic FC Bayern supporters who had won access to the special event through various competitions.
With numerous requests for autographs and selfies, the two FCB players had plenty of time for the fans. They also took the opportunity of FC Bayern's long-standing, trusting partnership with Paulaner to give a few insights into the current state of training and the upcoming season, moderated by stadium announcer Stephan Lehmann.
'The people are very friendly and I feel great here'
"The atmosphere within the team is really positive, everyone is in a good mood, and everyone is motivated," said Musiala. The 21-year-old was also pleasantly surprised by Korea, which FC Bayern are visiting for the first time as part of the Audi Summer Tour until Sunday: "The people are very friendly; I feel very comfortable here," said Musiala. "Minjae [Kim] invited us to a Korean barbecue on Tuesday evening. We also had spicy noodles, which were delicious."
Ulreich was not only impressed by Korea: "It's really great that Paulaner is available in every city, in every country in the world that you visit. It gives you a feeling of home in a glass - no matter where you are." According to the 35-year-old, he is also continuing to work hard under new coach Vincent Kompany in Seoul, just as he has been doing at Säbener Straße in preparation for the start of the season.
"For me personally, it's always important to develop and take steps forward. I don't set myself a target of how many goals or assists I want to collect in a season - I just want to help the team to be successful. If I can help with goals and assists, of course I'm happy with that," Musiala revealed.
